When you guys are shootin over your Chrony with handguns, how far out do you set the Chrony? With my rifles I set it about 15 feet away. Is this good, or should I bring it in a tad?

Thanks
Steve

The best thing to do is experiment. Put it as close as you can get it and still get good readings. Just make sure that other loads also work at that distance or you'll lose your comparison.
Truth is, the difference between "at the muzzle" and 15 feet is too small to matter so you're fine there if you are so inclined.

Chrony Sootin?

It all depends if it is alone, or is with a pack. They can be a bit more dangerous when traveling in a pack, sneaky little buggers - gotta watch out especially for the ones with the little wired removable display units. Those ones circle right around behind you and trip you up before you know it!

I start shooting when they get with in 21 feet as a general rule. A good two COM and a third to the display will put down any chrony! (Does not leave much behind for the guys at Radio Shack to work with. Also not much of a mount left for your den.)

10 feet.

10 feet for me. Only exception was with the Barrett 50BMG. I would set it at least 15 feet out because of the muzzle blast.
