Chrome Plated Lefever

I have come across an unusual gun, a chrome plated Lefever Nitro Special .410 SXS. According to the Serial number (2311XX) it was manufactured in 1926. I can't find any information to indicate it came from the factory this way; if it was done aftermarket they did a very good job. Has anyone seen one like this or know about it? Any idea how this would affect the value? Photos attached.

Most definitely aftermarket, and it's not a particularly good plating job.
It drops the collector value to zero.
