chrome lining

Hey Folks. Been reading your posts for a bit but this is my first.

Is there an easy way to tell if you have a chrome lined
barrel?
I have a IAI M444 (.308) and a SAR1 (7.62x39). I can never get it straight whether or not these rifles have chrome lined barrels.
Also, is there any truth to claims that some solvents will damage chrome lined barrels?

Chrome lined bores..............

Madscientist, check the chamber, make sure it's good and clean..........you can easily tell here.
And, if you look at the bore from the muzzle, you will see it also.......
Should be a semi dull color( grayish) at the muzzle, and very shiny in the chamber area.
