Chrome lined barrels

How can I tell if I have a chrome lined barrel? Should I be able to see chrome at the crown and chamber? I don't have a bore light yet but the bore is clean and shiny. I don't think its chrome though. Plus there is a pit about an inch from the chamber that covers one rifling and land.:mad: Is the barrel junk?

I bought a M1 Carbine barrel and I have not assembled the M1 yet. I'm pretty sure WWII barrels were not chrome lined so I thought it was a repoduction. I wanted a good reproduction cause I want to shoot it. I have not shot it because I havn't decided if I will try to get my money back.
