chrome bore question

Well after lots of badgering the folks at Model 1 Sales have offered to have the bores of the AR 15 uppers they sent me chrome plated. The owner says that the chambers have to be opened up "half a thousanth". Don't the barrels have to be manufactured with tolerances to allow for the chrome application? After hassling with these folks I don't trust them very much but they won't give a refund even though I caught them in a couple of lies. Should I cut my losses and just sell the uppers to someone who doesn't care about the chrome issue?

And buy Bushmasters.....the only ones left I know of that the standard barrels are cm lined..........
The non cm lined are fine for regular plinking, and target work.
But, they will cause some problems if you don't keep the barrels CLEAN...........
