Christmas Present fom my Dad

My dad made his weekly stop the other night for Christmas dinner. He brought the grandkids their gifts, we visited for a while, the kids opened presents and then he left. Well this afternoon he stopped by again. I was a little surprised but it didn't seem too out of the ordinary. He came in and we visited for a while. He then said he had a Christmas present for me. Out from his jacket he pulled in its holster his old High Standard Sentinel Deluxe 9 shot.22 revolver. I recognized it immediately. I have put many rounds through this gun over the years. Needless to say I was shocked. I know its not an expensive gun at all, but after all its the gun I grew up shooting. If you can help me with a little info about the gun I would appreciate it. Serial #is 22273xx. I believe it was mfg. 65-67. Just wanted to show off the "New to me Gun".

Great story, guns from our youth will always hold a special place -- perhaps even enhanced by the years gone by in the mean time.

Sorry that I don't know anything about your revolver, but I'm quite surprised this thread hasn't had a reply in the day or two it's been up. Here's a bump and I'm sure someone will have some helpful information.

Sorry I can't contribute any info on that Sentinel but in high school a friend had one that looked just like yours. In those long-ago days we went to the city dump and shot rats till we ran out of ammo or it got dark, never did run out of rats though. It's a real blast from the past to seen another 9-banger like yours. Shoot straight and enjoy ther ride...
