CHRISTENSEN ARMS RANGER 22: First Range Outing

When Christensen Arms announced their new ultra light rimfire rifle. I immediately thought a serious critter getter something this light that you can pack all day in the field. Christensen Arms has been in business for over 25 years and are well known for their quality and light hunting rifles. Using carbon fiber and their brilliant knowledge of shaving weight for sure this was nothing but a hunter. Then low and behold on their release it was branded as lightweight, precise and accurate rimfire capable of meeting the need of the competitive shooter, hunter or general purpose shooter.

Ok well Christensen you have sucked me in and I have got to have one. And I did get one with a very low serial number.

As seen in the video I had a few strange ejection problems, something I am working with the friendly folks at Christensen to resolve. Stay Tuned.

Oh man, what a rifle! I got a chance to look one of those over in a LGS. They didn't hold back putting all the right slick on that one! The price tag brought on a bit of involuntary puckering, but I may have to save up for one of those one of these days!

Thanks for that. It's no big deal to me, though I personally believe it makes more sense to not have rimfire mixed in with centerfire, but I won't raise a fuss. I also think that rimfire provides an easier stepping stone for new shooters--but whatever...:D

Have you tried using different ammo. To me it seems that it does not like Lapua. That is a sweet looking rifle and have been contemplating getting it or the Savage A22 magnum pro. But then I saw a low wall at Taylors and Co. that I like. Might end up having to buy all 3.
