Chow Yun Fat style revisited!!! With pictures!

Last year we had some really entertaining threads about the "Chow Yun Fat" style of two pistol shooting. Also known as "John Woo" style. In fact they were some of the funniest posts I've ever read on this board.

To celebrate this, last week at the Utah TFL get-together George Hill and I decided to do a little CYF multiple target engagements. Here are the pics. Thanks to Meiji-man's quick camera work, the picture of me caught five, count them five spent casings still in the air! (last one is to the far right of my head) I thought that it just looked pretty cool. :D When I saw all of those casings still in the air I knew I had to share this pic!

However, at no time where any of our targets put in any danger of actually being struck by a bullet. I hit everything from the ground ten feet in front of me to a sage brush 50 yards behind the targets.

Here are the other Utah TFL pics if anybody is interested, a great time was had by all.

I'm old and deceitful.

George,

Tell me that's an error. Your left hand looks like you're using a whole lot of your trigger finger instead of just the meaty section! I know my eyes are deceiving me ;)

Strictly for fun, I tried it with a southpaw 45 in one hand and a Colt in the other. It isn't easy but darn if it isn't fun!

Ok I have to get out to one of these :D

Are there any NY, PA gatherings?

If I put my thumbs together and sight each gun with the appropriate eye, then shoot em same time, get pretty good groups. I do it with wheel guns tho so no empties in the air.

Sam...not Yosemite, no hair on top

Love those cases in the air. Great pics!

There's a movie being filmed - "Jesse James" - which has the grown kids of several prominent actors in it. From what I hear, it's kind of like Old West meets Chow Yun Fat. One of the characters carries six sixguns. Draws and shoots while spinning. Should be at the theatres in a year or so . . .

Are you kidding beemerb? We had a FAL, you can see George vaporizing a bottle with it in one of the last shots. And 3 ARs. And of course that M1, which was a thing of beauty, and my Enfield, which was a thing of Ugly, yet beautiful it its own twisted way. :)

HardBall, 0, absolutely nothing. Not only was it 2 guns, but 2 guns rapid fire. Not a single hit. Though if this was the movies I would have centerpunched at least 10 bad guys. :) Maybe if I would have turned them sideways?

These are cool pix and everything, but uh, who's who? I was able to pick you out, Larry, and also Kodiac, er uh, George, but everyone else? Clueless.

I'll get names up with the pictures soon.... Just haven't had time too yet.

I felt like Pancho Villa with all of those pistolas on me at once. :D

Another good thing about that first pic, the next time somebody says that they hear .45 has nasty recoil, I can say "Kick? We don't have no stinkin kick!"

While I do not have pictures of this event... I have witnesses.
While playing paintball, I revisited the WOO STYLE.
In the thick of paintball combat, a team mate was taken down... He just happened to drop his gun on my position as he walked off the field with his hands up. (Normally you take the gun with you) This gave me a resupply of paint... he knew I was getting low and had not refills.
Within a matter of seconds we got creamed. The only team mates left was one girl who was flanking so far up the mountain she was completely out of the fight... and the another fellow - who just happened to be my boss. The other team was coming in HARD.
I picked up the other gun and made Chow Yun Fat and John Woo very proud. I was two-gunning like a hollywood hero. Paint Balls are not the most accurate to begin with... But pouring out a constant and heavy volume of fire sure does make up for a lot. Admitedly - this was SPRAY AND PRAY like never before. The results were an emediate fall back by the other team... One OPFOR guy was pinned down - fully suppresses. One was taken out by several - and I mean a lot of balls to the center chest. Another - who was sneaky as all get out took a ball right over his heart. The rest - RAN AWAY. My Boss now free to move made his dash to the flag, and we won!
To be perfectly honest - I don't not think we would have if I did not call upon the power of WOO. That overwhelming firepower was the deciding factor.
