Hey folks..need opinions politics aside as the S&W's would be pre-sell out..
If you had the following four chioce's of which you could only pick TWO that would be used primarily for carry and home protection which would they be..
S&W CS-45 stainless ashley nite sites
Kahr K-40 black
S&W mod.637 alloy 38 5 shot
Colt Colbra alloy 38 6 shot.
 
None of the above. I like the Kahr, but I hate the .40 cal chambering. IMO, the .40 is very snappy recoiling and its accuracy is shaky. Of the makes you list, I would get a 9mm Kahr (assuming you have a choice). I can't say any of the other choices are terribly enticing either. Are these the only guns your department will issue?

The Kahr: Hefty recoil in the .40, but likely more efficient in the Khar's tube than any .45 would be through the CS45. Its DAO trigger will jive perfectly with the:

Smith 638: A lot more compact then the Colt, and likely to be a bit more durable in the long run.

um.....a Glock 19. was that on the list? ok fine a beretta 92? sig 229? HK USP?

i would prefer a Kahr K9 over a K40 also.

u need to find a new gun shop to look for guns in with a wider range of weapons available.
