Choke selection for skeet, trap, sporting clays etc

I searched the forum without finding anything to answer this:

"What choke sizes do you use or recommend for trap, skeet, and sporting clays?"

I've got a 12 ga Beretta o/u with 28" barrels that arrived with the standard 3 chokes IC, M, and F. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Trap is usually shot with a full choke, and open chokes are used for skeet and clays. Try IC for starters. You may want to get an aftermarket Skt I or IC for your second bbl.

Beretta guns tend to be tightly bored, the exception being their new E series, so I shoot 16 yard trap with a modified choke and use full for handicap. I use skeet chokes for skeet and improved cylinder for sporting but would be just as well off using IC for skeet, too. The only reason I use skeet chokes is because they came with the gun.

All you need to round out your choke selection is another IC choke for sporting.
