choke and ammo help!

Out of a 12 ga. Shotgun with a 28 in. Barrell what choke and ammo combo would you ues for goose hunting. And for duck hunting?
 
What is your gun chambered for; 2-3/4", 3", 3-1/2"? Just because an unfired hull fits, that doesn't mean the gun is chambered for it. Whatever you are shooting, I suppose you could also have a 3-1/2" barrel on a receiver that isn't set up for a 3-12" shotshell. What model and brand gun is it?

Light mod. BB's for geese.

Light mod. or IC 3's or 4's for ducks.

The important thing is, my buddies and I spent a few hours at the pattering board this summer. I shot two different BB loads out of three tubes to find the best pattern for geese. Followed that with three brands of 3's and 4's out of four tubes for ducks.

Patterning is not really fun, but I learned a whole bunch from it.
 
IIRC a 3" 12 ga BB , shell has 100 pellets of steel if you're shooting those .Usually a Mod choke is used . ALWAYS pattern your loads in that particular gun ,you can get surprised ! Mine gives Extra, Extra Full pattern with mod ! Effective range will be 25 -50 yds !
