Choice between 2 lasers

I have a low budget to buy a laser for my SR9. I have been looking at the LaserMax UNI-MAX:Micro and the ArmaLaser Stingray SR1. Anyone have any feedback on either of these?

I have used guns that have a laser max... I don't personally own one. It seems pretty good to me but I don't have any information out side of what I can get from a 60 min range session.

what kind of low budget?

I am saving up for a veridien c5l for my new px4 storm. they are not cheap - 300.00 i think, but want the green (i am red/green color blind and don't see red well) and the light combo.

how do you like the sr9? I was thinking of buying one when they came out, but got cought up with the beretta. Still looks like a great gun though.

Around $100.00 range. So far I like the SR9 very much, shoots good and fits my hand well. I like the lo profile on the SR1, should make it easier to find a holster for it.

I am totally happy with the ArmaLaser. It is bright, handles the pounding and was inexpensive. Also, the SR-1 had the low profile that fit in with the lines of the gun. Very satisfied!

I may look at one in the future - still like the looks of it.

I would go with the slimmest like you said, that is why i am saving for the newer cl cause it is much smaller.

Do you have any problems with it losing zero?

There is a site (I do not work for them) called "promotive.com"

You have to register and see if you can apply for any of their "teams", each team comes with all sorts of brands of stuff that you can buy for wholesale or less. If you are military or LEO you will automatically qualify, but they have teams for just about everyone. Crimson Trace is one of the brands that has deals on this site, I am looking at 40% off retail right now, the SR9 specifically is at $125.00.

MODs, if this sounds like an advertising or spam post, I understand and if that is the case it should be removed. I found out about this site through some friends at work, and some of these deals are way too good to let by without spreading as much word as possible.

What holster do you use?

I haven't had any issues yet. Once I get a few thousand downrange I'll know for sure. Lasermax never gave me a problem nor has CT. I did have "fun" getting it to zero in but once it was set it has been good to go.

My advice is to save up another $100.00 and go with the Crimson Trace. I use one with my SR9C. I don't have to worry about any switches since it is activated when I grip the pistol. One less think to think about. Did not even need the $50.00 rebate they offer right now.

I was able to pick one up on ebay for my LCP for $125.00. I had some credit left over with some consignment gun sales through a local dealer for the one on the SR9C.

As far as the SR9C goes. It is one of the better out of the box pistols I have owned so far. I was expecting a stout trigger pull but I was surprised at it. it is just about as good as some of the custom shop guns I have. The Crimson Trace Laser Grip is the gravy on the taters to make this a good self defense combo.
