Choate vs B&C Tactical Stocks?

I'm looking at offerings from Choate (still working on pronouncing that...) and Bell & Carlson for my new 700 SPS Varmint in 223. This will be almost exclusively a bench gun - and will probably be driven 99.9% of the way anywhere else.

I'm looking for a stock that offers a 'left hand back' option as I find I shoot very well this way. Weight is not a great concern, but unfortunately cost is - which is why I'm looking here instead of an AI, H&S or McMillan.

I'm a bit concerned about losing my magazine plate - mostly since I have no idea how it's going to look or how the Choate handles the BDL spring ass'y in an ADL stock? However - if they have good workarounds ('just send it to your gunsmith' is not a good option) I'm good with it.

Anyone have experience with either stock?

I have a Choate ultimate sniper stock on one of my rifles. The BDL type magizine spring and follower drop right in. My stock came with a rubber piece that goes in the bottom of the mag well to hold the spring in place. I have had not problems with mine. And it is better as far as price goes.
