Which is better for all around traget shooting.

I have actually handled the Sniper stock before and found it to be rather large in the grip area for me. To the point that I wouldn't consider buying one. Is the Varmint any better?

Are these stocks worth the $106 Brownells wants for them?

For hunting needs I will stay with the original stock, but for the targets will I see any real improvement?

I have a sniper on my 223 my buddy has the varmint on his. I prefer the varmint I wish I had waited and got that.I just think it feels better IMO.
I think they are worth the money.

The "Sniper" model foreend has a strange angle. I think that I'd prefer the Varmint model. Friend of mine has a .308 VLS action mounted in the Choate Varminter model.

$106.00....I just checked and the price was $176, what are you doing right or what have I done wrong
Comparing the 2 I think I would opt for the less weight and go for the Varminter and it looks a little cleaner.

compairing the two, I'd go with the McMillan LOD. Looks about the same, but is higher quality, and worth what ever they want for it.

Karsten, et al: Just about anybody can qualify for the "trade discounts" at Brownell's. Open an account online, answering the question regarding being in business that doesn't require an FFL in the affirmative, and you'll immediately be able to view the trade discount prices and order accordingly. You won't have to speak to anybody or send in any business licenses, etc.

Humm, I went there and I don't see how they are ging to give a full time realtor a dealer account. So would anyone order me a stock and have it shipped and make me a deal? Found someone else that wants one too, if someone is interested and some easy money for placing an order. Maybe Brownells will even ship direct so you down even have to open a box

Just a thought,
Karsten

Hope this helps our search. These are the cheapest prices near auction prices, but the stocks are new. Later-on.

Well I have a Brownells account now, Full price. If anyone that has a Brownells dealer price account out there wants too make a couple bucks for a few key strokes, ya otta give Ed and I a holler.
I don' t know $10-$15 bucks a stock isn't bad money for a few key strokes.

Just a thought
