CHL holder cast mamber would make for dull movies

This is for people who have seen movie "Dog Day Afternoon". I came by while Michelle was watching it and she said that I'd probably pull a .32 or some such on the two hostage takers (one with a SW76 SMG the other with an M1 carbine) and get myself and other hostages killed.

My response was that I'd wait till one of them gone outside to talk with police (as he did in the movie) and give the other (rather careless guy) a slug in the back of the head. That way I'd have his SMG and the cops outside could deal with the second perps.

Hmmm...that would make for a short and boring movie. OTOH, CCW (along with poor training - person stopped firing after one shot) was a major part of "Reservour Dogs"...

Yes, realism in movies can be baaaaaaaaad...

You're talking about the civ who shot Orange, right? IIRC, she saw Orange and White approaching with drawn 1911s, ducked down and grabbed a revolver out of her glovebox (closing the cylinder on the way), Orange opened her door, she gut-shot him once, and he fired back immediately (looked to be a OSS). I'd say, if that had been IRL, she did OK. Considering.

OTOH, how about Pink blasting away at the cops with a locked-back slide? :)

I think he's talking about "Dog Day Afternoon" with Al Pacino. You're thinking of "Reservoir Dogs" with Steve Buscemi and Harvey Keitel and directed by Quintin Tarantino.

My comment, not meaning to be a flame, is why do people think that those of us who carry or own firearms are so darn happy to use them and that we will do it at the most inappropriate time.

I always ask "what would I do if ..." and my first thought is to leave as quickly as possible. Then I start devising tactics.

Just a thought.
