Chips on receiver

Hi I did something stupid forget to zipper up my shotgun bag all the way and gun slipped out and landed on rocks so now I have a few very small chips where I cannot seeing any bluing. Is there a product out there that has blue in it that I can use to fill in the chips? Thanks in advance.

What gun (specificaly) is it ?

Since steel doesn't chip easily, I suspect your gun might have an anodized aluminum alloy receiver, which should respond after applying some commercial (Birchwood Casey ?) Aluminum Black touchup after smoothing out (filing) and gouges in the metal.

You can determine an alloy receiver, if a magnet won't stick to it.

Cold Blue touchup won't work on an alloy receiver; Aluminum Black won't work on steel.

IMHO, you've given your gun "character". :D

If there's some high spots around the edge(s) of the gouge(s), they can be swedged down/back from where they came, but the repair's unlikely to be invisible.

The bare steel can be cold blued (several apps) after degreasing.
