What's really funny, and I mean, this is a good joke, man, is that the Chi-Comms consider us to be "the enemy." No kidding, the state controlled newspapers often refer to us as an enemy state.

Let's see, that General who said he'd vaporize LA if we tried to stop their plans for Taiwan. And then there was this week's purchase of missiles whose sole purpose is to destroy U.S. Aircraft Carriers. Then we have the typical Chinese slave laborer who only earns 7 bucks a week. Now what in hell do we expect to sell to the 750 million laborers who work for 7 bucks a week? Cars? Ha! Radios? How about jewelry?
The only thing American Corperations get out of this is to send American Manufacturing jobs overseas. Of course that's no big deal because we don't need to manufacture anything here anyway huh? We are an information society. The only real question I have is once all the manufacturing jobs are gone, and we get ourselves into a big war with guess who, how will we manufacture all those things that wars tend to digest like rifles, tanks, uniforms, socks, and hand tools? We'll be screwed. We should probably brace ourselves for a good nuclear confrontation with China because there's no way to beat them militarily. Our military couldn't fight a war like that anymore as Mr. Clinton has sold the military to the chinese already.

Good point about manufactureing capability KJM. One of the reasons the North beat the South was because of the North's superior manufacturing capability. Same in WWII. The congess critters probably think you can turn manufacturing on and off over night. As an engineer I know that many non engineers can't understand why a last minute redesign should take more than a couple of hours. It only took them a couple of minutes to change their mind so how long could it take to redraw a couple of lines? :rolleyes:
 
Know what you mean, Phil. I'm an engineer who has worked in the defense business all my life. Sometimes it seems like the gov't thinks everything can be done yesterday for no cost!
 
Let us not forget, that these are the same Chinese, who are taking over our Panama Canal. The same Chinese who have now leased the largest, deep-water port in the Bahamas. And if you were watching the congressional debate on C-Span today, and happened to catch Congressman Dan Burton, the same Chinese, who have now signed a 30 year lease on the Egyptian port of Said.

For those not familiar with the Port Said port, it lies at the northern entrance of the Suez Canal. It is considered one of the most important Egyptian ports due to its distinctive location on the entrance of the most significant waterway in the world (The Suez Canal) and in the middle of the biggest merchant shipping line between Europe and the east. It is moreover the biggest transit port in the world.

For those not familiar. Our Navy would not be able to deploy to the Persian Gulf quickly, without the use of the Suez Canal. If the Chinese wanted. They could shut down the oil flow to Europe, and the rest of the East.(Including the U.S.)

I personally see a well laid out plan coming together here. Cover the globe, where you would be able to virtually shut off any type of imports from coming into the United States. Shut down all canal zones in which the United States Navy would need to quickly deploy. Then side with all those of the Islamic faith, and Russia, then attack the United States, and all her allies. All of this while the American consumers keep yelling for a cheaper pair of tennis shoes.

Make no mistake. The Congress today, passed a death sentence on their own country. The whole lot should be tried for treason.

I would rather have annexed Mexico and opened the borders.

The bill will pass the Senate without doubt, and China will become our best friend in the world, sending us food for our hungry, computers for our poor, rice for our prisoners, cool new hats for cowboys & cowgirls. I could go on, but I can be sarcastic just so long.
