Chilled Lead shot

Hello all,
I got a call from a man that wants to buy my shot.
I did a count and I have four bags of number 8, three bags of #6,
one each of #4, and 7 1/2, all the bags are 25Lbs each.

I found also two 5Lbs cans of Illinois Copper Plated #4 shot.

One of #8s has a price of $11.99 on it, but I don't think I want to let it go that cheap.

These bags are four bags of Lawrence Brand:two #6s, one #7 1/2, and one of #8. One bag of Remington #8. Two Hawk #8. One All American #6. And the last bag is an AA in #4.

So what should I sell these bags for, and what is the going price for lead shot?

it depends

on where you're located. Here in MD, shot for target loads (7 1/2, 8, 9) goes for about $20 per bag. So a good deal here would be about $15 for someone who really wanted it. The larger shot will most likely be more difficult to sell, as you can't hunt waterfowl with it any more, so the demand is not there (figure $10?).
 
About six months ago I bought a bunch of 8s, and 9s from a gun club that was closing out a bunch of shot for $10/bag.

Given usual prices, I would think you could get close to $15.
 
Charlie's price is right on . Lead has skyrocketed .

Average it together and make him a package deal on the whole pile .
 
6 months ago, here in WI, I could buy in bulk, 10+ bags, for around $17, now its $21. Your call man, prices are sky rocketing. Does anyone know of any online stores that offer good prices? I have seen some decent prices but then shipping makes it not worth the hassle. Thanks

Yes, thats why its not worth the hassle. Its just a shame that places don't give you a bulk deal where if you order so much you get free shipping or something. I know other online stores do that, but then again, their items don't come in bags at 25lbs a piece.
