Child Safety Locks

IMHO The firearms should be kept securely away from small childrens access instead of getting into doing wierd things to the firearm. MSNBC has a pool going where more folks thing "Locks" should be legislated than people being personally responsable for themselves. See http://www.msnbc.com/news/OP_Front.asp I don't put much into these surveys but I also hate for these surveys not to be advertised to the entire public. Vote as you see fit.

Frankly, I favor child safety locks that teather them to their parents. I'm sick of watching out for other people's kids. Last weekend I was at Costco looking at some stuff (standing still) when some over-sugared 3 y.o. brat ran into my cart and split her lip. Her daddy copped an attitude and accused me of hitting his kid (I wish). I said I was soory about the kid, but that I was standing still. He kept coming on until this woman lit into him along the lines of 'Be quiet! I saw the whole thing and that child is out of control. I had to dodge her twice myself. Git that damm kid under control . . ' Another woman called him an idiot for not watching his kid. (Thank you, ladies).

Sorry for the digression, but this is a parental responsibility issue, any kid over 7 or 9 can/will figure out how to beat the locks if they're so inclined. Teach your children well. End of rant
Everyone have anice week end.

I carry a 1911 with about a 3 1/2 lb SA trigger. I think it would be idiotic at best to put a trigger lock on this type of gun. The trigger lock itself would increase the number of accidents. Ah, now I see where Klinton's going with this. He wants more AD's so he has an excuse for more anti gun laws "For the Children."
