Cheekpiece for AR

go to a gun show, and or on line.
you can take one of the cherokee full style cheekpieces, cut it in half (length wise!), add some velcro to the underside as well as the top of the stock. and walla! easy on easy off acc.
i prefer the latest snapon/ snapoff one they have.
but i still make use of the "custom" one too. 1 thing i find interesting (if you can get over the notch for the charging handle) as well as using it backwards, is that i foung it worked well on a fiberglassed m-1a , for my scope setup on there as well.

Halffast...its the Cherokee model that I think most everyone sells (Bushmaster, JP, etc.). I've never installed it (unused). It does tighten with 2 little screws. I think its the one you were talking about in your initial post.
After buying it, I decided to go with a low mounted "reflex" type sight...thats why its out of the package, but unused.
