While I do not wish to engage in manufacturer bashing, nor give Kimber a bad name, in the interest of safety I thought that I'd pass this info along.
At the range the other day, slammed home the mag on my Kimber stainless Ultra Carry, and the thing falls right back out again. The magazine lock/button had broken in two in the middle of the handle. Thus the catch would not engage the magazine.
Kimber is getting it looked after right away, and every product of earth is subject to moth and rust. But please fellas, check this little piece out for cracks -- it may be worth it.
