Is it my imagination, or is there two different woods used for the grips?

Yikes. I mean, it's a nice ol' P&R gun and all, but that's just nuts.

As to the grip, look at the lower rear of the grip in the lowest picture...seems like it came that way factory, just a funky grip .

I think Jim's right. The grip is a one-piece, but the finish sure is different on the two sides.

He seems to have a lot for sale, somewhere around 20 different firearms IIRC. Most seem to be on the expensive side.
