Here's a potentially interesting site, which IMO has a few flaws.
http://www.issues2000.org/Quiz.htm
Forget the quiz (until later, anyway) and scroll down to "HouseMatch Quiz of 435 House incumbents" to see how your boy voted.
I checked out Jim Gibbons (2nd Dist. NV) and found what I thought were incorrect positions on gun control, in just one instance.
I ended up writing him for clarification (if the site is wrong he will put some heat on them) and I wrote the site itself, taking them to task for the following misinformation: http://www.speakout.com/VoteMatch/q7.asp under "Background" - "Statistics on Gun Ownership - 40% of all US homes have guns 81% of Americans say that gun control will be an important issue in determining which Congressional candidate to vote for. 91% of Americans say that there should be at least minor restrictions on gun ownership; 57% of Americans say that there should be major restrictions or a ban."
and
"Background Checks - The "Gun-Show Loophole" means that there are no background checks when purchasing guns at public shows."
I 'splained the "loophole" inaccuracy and gave them John Lott's dissertation on that. I also questioned the
"statistics" with the admonition to at least cite their sources.
I told them that at this point, I attributed the mistakes to honest errors, gleaned from that font of All Truth, the media. I warned them that this kind of sloppy work put the validity of the rest of their site in danger and if not corrected, would taint them with an "anti-gun propaganda organ" stigma.
Maybe you folks can find others, and question your congressman on anything you find out about him that is at variance with what you understand. Mine voted against reducing the three-day background check limit to one. I'm asking him to tell me why.
