(wiping drool off of the keyboard) WOW. The only trouble I can see with it is that I would either be able to afford it, or the ammo to feed it, but not both at the same time. Why, oh why wasn't I born independently wealthy instead of good looking???

I LIKE it!!!!!! :D

If I had a Class 3 M-16, could I just put this upper on it, or would I need another stamp?

"There are people who do not mind the fact that O.J. Simpson walks free. There are people who do not mind the fact that Lon Horiuchi is not only not punished for his atrocity at Ruby Ridge, but he continues on the public payroll. There are those who know who killed Vince Foster, but are not bothered by the fact that the subject has been dropped officially. I mind those things. Do you?" - Jeff Cooper

First time I've seen this version. Has been tried several times in the past. Problem being the heat generated by the .223.

Neat concept that didn't pan out in military tests. Pointless in this climate of gun laws and bans.

Front end kinda reminds me of a Stoner.

Cheers,

No no no - thats not an M16.
That hase very little to do with an AR.
The gas is different the feeding is different... Lower reciever, grip and buttstock are the only similar Items.
Thats like saying a Windstar and a Taurus are the same just because they share a chasis.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah....

Why don't you post pictures of some 16 year-old cheerleaders. We can't have them, either."

:D

Given that the Shrike has a piston-type gas tube below the barrel, how is it connecting to the bolt carrier? (Note that they don't show the bolt carrier or the gas piston.) There just doesn't appear to be enough room to fit a substantial operating rod and still allow for the optional magazine use.

I really wonder if the weapon pictured isn't just a well-done mock-up. There is no handle to facilitate removal of a hot barrel. As a matter of fact, I don't even see a cocking handle.

Daniel Watters: " I don't see a cocking handle" I looked, and I think the cocking handle is a rather smallish fold-up on the right-hand side, which leads me to believe that it probably cycles with the bolt!
