I recently bought one of Tagua's Quick draw holsters for my Walther PPK. Terrific quality at half the price of other famous makers. One of the best holsters I ever owned.

I picked up one of their shoulder rigs. The leather was so mis-tanned that it was actually brittle and started cracking after one wearing. By the third wearing one of the shoulder straps had broken.

A friend also picked up a thumb-break model for his 1911. The leather on the thumb break and the outside face also started cracking after a very short use and after about a month the holster looked like it had years of abuse (not just wear).

So we're a tiny little sample but with a 0-for-2 record so far I'm thinking that Tagua is just cheap, in the low-quality sense of the word.

Have to agree with ZeSpectre here. Every Tagua holster I've ever had my hands on was absolute garbage. In my experience holsters are an area where you definitely get what you pay for.

I used one for my Steyr S40 for a while. It's not the best and not the worst. My main complaint is that it sagged outward and let the butt of my weapon get away from being held tight against my body. The leather is softer than a lot of other rigs, and this was the problem. If it had been hard-tanned, it would be a great holster.
