I find that in Alabama, it is always Academy - even better prices than Walmart (when Walmart actually has your choice of ammo in stock). They carry the WWB 9MM (NATO loading) that I practice with for always around $12.50, and the various foreign brands (Wolf, Monarch, etc.) for around 9.99. What about in your neck of the woods?

I would bet it's tough to beat WalMart anywhere in the country. Academy has traditionally used cheap ammo as a loss leader.
Heck, go to any gun show in Texas and you'll find boxes of WalMart & Academy ammo on dealers tables.

Around here (Dallas/Fort Worth area) Wal-Mart often has 9mm Federal for $9.76 per box. Bought four boxes the other day for $41.01 incl tax. They have WWB 100-rd value packs of 9mm for $23.00.
Just bought a box of PMC 115-gr FMJs at Cabela's in Fort Worth for $13.99 and a box of Seller & Belliot 124-gr FMJ's for $14.99.
Cabela's, at least, has plenty on the shelf.
