In my quest for my next handgun, I went to try a couple of used models they had for sale. On arrival, the sound-proof range door was open, a guy was unkered down behind a rifle and I could hear the crack of shots going off. In the office I asked: "Suppressed .22?"
"Nope. Tikka .308..." came the answer.
I blinked in confusion, knowing full well that my hearing was not so bad that a .308 indoors could be shrugged off like that.
The guy then enlightened me: it was a .308 with a .32 pistol cartridge conversion case. Apparently a .308 case of some sort with a space for a .32 pistol round.
Bingo, rifle fun with no recoil and a fraction of the over-the-counter price.
Ever heard of this?
....And, can this set-up be of any use to the rifle shooter, or is it a gimmick?
