Cheap tactical black????

I'm looking for the best and cheapest way to do a tactical black finish on a barrel. I have read a few things online but am sceptical. I thought I'd ask you all cause you always have good replies. Thank you.

Is spray paint the best way to go. I know I said cheap but im willing to spend some money on something that would last a little bit longer than spray paint.

The reason I recommend spray paint is that you can remove it and re apply it yourself. And it's cheap.

Thank you Guru 1911 for the websites, checked it out and a little bit too much than I would want to spend on this rifle. If I did spray paint it would probably have to be a high heat paint? I just don't want to do it and then have it be one of those lessons learned the hard way, you know what I mean?

Best and cheap usually don't go together. Have a look at Duracoat. They sell a one colour kit for $29.95.

Spray paint, even the stuff to touch up grills, will melt and make a big mess if you get the barrel too hot, like a semi auto. I learned the hard way.

I did this Colt Lightweight Commander in Duracoat Shake N Spray Combat Black and Combat Gray.

Black Semi gloss or satin VHT auto spray paint. It holds up to most cleaners.
