Cheap practice, and fun too

This time of the year, the carpenter bees start coming out and try their best to turn my barn into swiss cheese. So I had the idea of taking one of my son's CO2 airsoft pistol out to the barn, and see if I could nail any of them. First session, I took down 4 or 5 of the little boogars, as well as a couple of horse flies.

Now, I alternate between the CO2 pistol, and my full auto airsoft rifle the kids got for me last Xmas. It's a relatively cheap one, but man, great fun, and great practice too. ;)

My roommate and I used to kill moths and those big outdoor type roaches we get here in the south with his airsoft pistol (it was modeled after a taurus 1911 for some reason  ) when they got in the apartment. Great fun shooting at creepy crawlys, haha. We also used to plink beer cans set up on the railing between the dining room and living room!

I used to shoot houseflies with a rubberband gun made out of Lego. It was fully automatic and I would aim by adjusting the stream of rubberbands until it intersected with the flight path of the fly.
