I’ve looked at those but they’re over 30 in long. It’s why I’d prefer a PCC in a “pistol” format that either comes with or has available separately a pistol brace

Skip some of the more premium features (nicer braces, side chargers) and you could probably get close to your budget.

I’m not sure you can get a guarantee that any of the options will run any hollow point without issue though.
For me it’s more about the barrel length. I had an 11 in barrel m4 for a while in the military and loved how it maneuvered around indoor corners. I know pistols with pistol braces get close to rifle length but that little bit has a big feel to meMy Keltec Sub 2000 is the same length as my PSA AR pistol-with the brace set pretty short.
For what it's worth, an AR pistol won't fold up to 16 overall.

i have owned one for maybe 6 months. i shoot it quite a bit and it is my favorite fun gun. i have around a thousand through it and it has been totally reliable.Wow that extar looks great. Is the reliability from personal experience?
