Cheap 9mm ammo - help!

I just called Cole Distributors and they don't have any more 9mm Denel for sale. They quit carrying it. The cheapest (only) thing they have is Aguila 9mm, and it's about $6.75 box. Heck, I can get Win Clean at Wally World for that and not have to worry about ordering. I've ordered S&B ammo before from CTD and it was all right - is there any place I can get Denel, PMP, or S&B ammo for around 109$/1000, delivered (that's what Cole was selling it for)? I just need practice ammo so I don't need top of the line stuff, but I'd like to have brass cased. I'm looking for a case of 1000rnds.

Any suggestions?

Look in Shotgun News or Gun List. I have seen 1,000 rds of S. African 115 FMC for $104.99 delivered to your door.

Saw case of 1000 S&B 115 grain 9mm for $92.00 in Shotgun News... that's an INCREDIBLE price. The issue is a month or two old though.

S&B is good stuff,
Ben

Sportsmans Guide is still selling Denel 9mm. Just bought another 500 rds. Think it was $56 + shipping. Can't find the catalog, call them at1-800-888-3006.

Century International Arms (800)527-1252 (centuryarms.com)has PMP 9mm/115g at $5.49/box. I bought 1000 rounds for $99.87 shipping included. Nothing out of this world but for the price, is OK.

Big Al, www.midwayusa.com has Magtech 115 gr. for 118.49 delivered, and 124 gr. for 123.49 delivered, in their February Specials Catalog. Magtech is a military & civilian ammo manufacturer in Brazil. I haven't tried the 9mm yet, but I was impressed with the .40 I shot today, which I feel was pretty much on par with Federal American Eagle. My brother was shooting their 38 special and .357 ammo today. He didn't care for the 38 special, but thought the .357 was one of the best loads he has shot in a long time. You have to download Midway's "February Specials" catalog to get the sale prices. I had my first order on my door step in 3 days.

Okay guys, that sounds pretty good...I've shot S&B before, and Natchez's price makes it $107.80/1000 before shipping. Sportsman's Guide's price on Denel makes it $112.00 before shipping. I figure adding shipping to either of them will put it around the 130$ mark. I like the price on PMP the best - what can you guys tell me about it? Is it pretty good, or is it that steel-cased surplus stuff?

By the way, Magtech stuff seems to be pretty good from what I've shot. A little hot, but very well made.

hey Ramon,

I checked century arms and I saw the 5.49 deal on PMP, but where is the 99.95 deal? I couldn't find it. Thanks!

Battler,
It's hard to find. Someone told me about it on another board, and I visited the sight half a dozen times before finding it. You have to go to "download", and download the "February Specials" catalog. The Mag Tech ammo is on page #73, under the heading "Truckload Specials" which is Page 7 of the specials catalog. Just hit this link to get to the download catalog page http://www.midwayusa.com/download.html

Just figured out a faster way. Go to http://www.midwayusa.com/products.html scroll to the bottom, and open page #73. All prices (even single box) include shippping.

Good luck,
David

I ordered the best shot remanufactured 9mm 1000 rds for 120 including shipping from bulkammo.com the onyl problem is they are round nose. Can someone tell me what is a roundnose bullet, the only i have fired is jhp and fmj Help!!!!!!!

There's nothing wrong with round nose... that what most practice ammo is. They may have meant Lead Round Nose in which case it is NOT jacketed. It might be a bit messier, but that's about it. I'd shoot it at an out door range anyday. You may also want to look into www.georgia-arms.com

Just got a flyer from Cheaper than Dirt (1-800-421-8047) offering S&B 9mm for $24 for a 5 box brick (250 rnds) that's 4.80/box or $96/1000. Shipping was $12 to VA. Sale good thru end of Feb. while supplies last. M2

Just make sure that you get high quality stuff! I've found that with a very few exceptions that you get what you pay for.
