I need some cheap ammo 130/150 gr fmj for plinking, then I want to reload the brass are S&B cartridges good enough quality for reloading ? what about Winchester target ammo ? how do these compare. I wanted to put a thousand or so rounds though my new ruger this summer then set up for reloading. If I can reload the above brass into a good plinking or target round.
thanks for any input.

I've been using the Winchester Winclean for my GP-100 and I really like it, shoots good and is clean ammo.

If you have a Meijer store in your area they sell it for $9.00. My sporting goods dept. manager sells them to me for $8.00 if I buy five or more. I just called him last night and asked him to order ten, I'm down to 300 rounds and need more!

I have heard nothing bad about S&B. The only problem is that when I see them in a magazine, they are usually sold out by the time I get them. :-\ The 9mm's that I have seen are sealed so you shouldn't have a moisture problem. I haven't used their 38's but I have some 357's on the way in FMJ. Another plus is that their packaging is more compact for storage/carry

I agree with Cnemeth. Ammoman has been outstanding. I recently ordered 1000 rounds of Federal American Eagle .38 Special (130 grain, FMJ) from them for $159 -- including shipping. That's $7.95 a box delivered to your home in two days.

thanks guys, I got a price today from a local dealer on the american eagles at $138.00 per thou out the door. He's checking on S&Bs but he says he'll beat J&G's price of $5.95 per box on 500 or more. PreserveFreedom let me know how the 357's shoot.
