Yep I know us vs them! Looking to buy a 22 DA/SA revolver, really would like to have one of the 22lr/22mag combo but finding one!! So between CA and Taurus, what do you think, all I have now are Rugers, may yet get a SP but if I could find one of the combo which one would I be more satisfied with. Mr Ecker said if I could find one of the non-combo 22 he could fit the other cylinder to it, $wise I don't yet know. Of course it my be a moot point as I have yet to find a CA but see plenty of Taurus non-combo. Any one have either combo guns?

I just looked into a .22lr revolver (see my other post below.) I can't find a Charter Arms in my area. I can't find a SP101. There are S&W and Taurus. I can't afford a S&W. I was ready to buy the Taurus, my LGS has two model 94s, a model 991 & 992. I really like the look and feel of the Taurus but there are just too many bad reviews. Check out the You Tube reviews, first review they love it and then there will be a second one by the same guy saying his Taurus broke. I almost pulled the trigger on the 992 but I was afraid of a lemon.

My Charter Arms Pathfinder is a nice gun,,,

I've had two Taurus revolvers,,,
A 990 Tracker and a 970 Tracker,,,
One bad out of the box and the other broke.

I recently bought a 4" Charter Arms Target Pathfinder,,,
It's exterior finish could be a whole lot better,,,
But it shoots well and wasn't expensive.

One thing though,,,
Charter recently changed their production,,,
They have gone from 6-round cylinders to 8-round cylinders.

I read about it in a forum somewhere last week,,,
But I will be danged if I can find the thread.

So you might give Charter a call and verify the news,,,
I would have waited a while if I had known that.

Bottom line though,,,
Nice little J-frame sized revolver.

Small frame revolvers across the board do not have very good DA trigger pulls. Pretty heavy pulls. Step up a size to a mid frame model and they inprove step up again and try like full size centefires. Know I have a Taurus 94 I think. Snubby sized and its and olser revolver , around 1988 and it has been back one time when a fire pin had been used up. Gone a week and a half and back to being reliable. My Taurus 22 has had a RP hammer spring in it for many years used in the model 85 and with good ammo goes bang ever time.
