I recently acquired this revolver from my father who got it from his father. my father told me that was bought in the 60's or 70's. It is in nearly perfect condition seeing as neither of them were big gun enthusiasts. I didn't want to take it to a local gun store and have them try to low-ball me into selling it to them. I am mainly just curious as to the value of the gun. Any info on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

-As always happy shooting.

the rarity of the gun could draw about $300 if in prime condition, but the market usually holds them at about $225-$250.

also, a gun shop/pawn shop will offer about a quarter to a third of its value so they can resell at a nice profit while allowing haggle room.

Oh, let's see. Charter Arms has been in and out of business several times since the original company. The current Charter can fix it, if there's a problem. They're fairly simple guns. A bit of advice -- don't take the trigger and parts attached to it, out. Total PITA to get that back in.

Value, objectively, fairly minimal. Shoot and enjoy.
