Can anyone explain to me the difference if any, between the EARLY OLDER Charter Arms Undercover and Off Duty model revolvers in .38spl snub nose.?
And which would you prefer for Conceal Carry, and why.?

Bill is correct. 1st Gen. CA advertised the OFF DUTY as the same internals/action as the "very popular" UNDERCOVER with a matte stainless or black "military" finish and at a lower price point, (obviously lower cost due to lack of polishing.) The Model OD was introduced in 1981 - shortly after CA increased the quality of fit and finish of their entire handgun line and raised prices to reflect the extra cost. The OFF DUTY model will also have a red, plastic bead inset into the front sight blade on the earliest examples.
