Charter Arms gunleather?

Hello to all my freinds,

I am in a pickle regarding gunleather. I have found the options for my older Charter Arms Undercover fairly limited. The questions I pose for the fine members of this fountain of knowledge are these:

- What other 2" snubbies have similar frame dimensions.
- What other gunleather will fit the Charter Arms 2" 5-shot Undercover?

I am certain that, given all the great info posted here, someone will have an answer to this puzzle.
Thanks guys and be safe this Holiday season. Merry Christmas. :)

Thought so.

9x19,

That was a thought I had, but it is good to have it confirmed by someone most likely more knowledgeable than myself. I really appreciate the response.

Anyone have any thoughts on similarities to the Taurus frame dimensions or other snubbies out there?

Triple K

Sir William,

Was the Triple K a Charter Arms model, or was it for another snubbie that fit the Charter Arms also?
The Bell Charter Oak holsters are a wee bit out of my price range right now, what with a baby coming and all.
I do, however, want to step up from the Uncle Mikes nylon which, while great for open carry, is somewhat bulky and awkward. I am hoping a mid-priced ($40-$60) leather semi-fitted holster will aleviate some of the concealment problems.
Also, the nylon doesn't look very attractive, and I do appreciate a handsome holster. Never more important than functionality, but always a consideration.
Anyone else think about looks for gunleather?

S&W

I inherited a charter arms 'undercover' from the 70's and it came to me with a leather s&w holster, which also fits my s&w m637 just as perfectly. Also appears they make (or at least once did) some quality holster as it is pretty much like new after 20 years......

The deal is, the super custom tightly boned holsters may not quite fit the Smith and the Charter, but off the shelf stuff such as the Bianchi usually fit fine. Example, my custom pull through snap holster for the Smith and Wesson won't fit my Taurus, etc, but usually you can find a good example. I bet BCO hasa a charter template for your handgun. By the way, excellent service with my charters. They last forever under the bed or on a ledger book. One saved my fathers life and also a friend, ten years apart.

good luck

Thanks guys.

I have found several semi-fitted models for the J-frames that seem to fit reasonably well. They seem to be the most likely option for me. I really do appreciate the input.

With a new young 'un on the way, I have the need for a more secure holster. Maybe even with a thumbstrab or other positive retention device. It currently rides in an Uncle Mikes open top IWB. Good holster, but just ot secure enough for me with a child. The other holster, a nylon Uncle Mikes standard belt holster, is just a bit chunky for concealed carry.

So, off to the gun shops I go, to buy a Christmas Present for me. :D
Thanks a bunch guys, Merry Christmas to all. Be safe.
