I recently purchased a Charles Daly model 1911A1 MS with a 4" barrell. I have put about 50 rounds in it so far with no problems. It seems to shoot a little low but other than that it functioned perfectly. There are no sharp edges and it seems to conceal fairly well for a full size gun. My only complaint right now is that you must use the slide stop to release the slide you can't release it by pulling back on the slide. Over all for the money it's a great gun.
I also bought a Charles Daly 1911 with the 4" barrel some time back. The gun has shot pretty well, just a few malfunctions while getting broke in. Charles Daly also makes one with a 3.5" barrel, although I've never seen one. Rod Black
