Charles Daly Parts

As far as I know, the only thing that was not interchangable is the grip screws on the pre-enhanced Daly 1911s. You might want to go over to www.1911forum.com and check the Charles Daly section.

I heard that the grip screw problem could be fixed with new grip bushings. I don't know if that's correct or not.

As far as I know, all parts are interchangeable, including grip screws. I like the thin grips, fit my hands better. So as soon as I purchased my CD I swapped out the grips for the thin ones but that required changing the bushings too. New bushings screwed right in w/ no problems. However, old bushings are staked so you will destroy the old bushings getting them out.

to the best of my knowledge even on the early ones the grip screw are interchangeable, unless I got some sort of odd anomoly version of the early CD's, because I totally stripped a grip screw when I first go the thing in 99 and replaced the grip screws with the hex screws

I have the EFS on order and was told all parts interchange except the bushings. Can I get some feedback re how well you guys like these, problems , etc.Thankssky blue :D :D

Tacp, I have a Field EFS and I love it. I've had no problems at all. I've heard some people have problems with the factory mags but I haven't. I use the factory mag and two MecGar 10 rounders. No problems with these.

The trigger pull was heavy and gritty but a little time with some stones took care of that. The trigger face had a sharp edge that hurt my finger, a few minutes with a dremel tool took care of that. But I haven't had any problems with functioning at all.

I originally bought my CD to get a cheap lower to use with my MechTech carbine upper. I liked the CD so well that I kept it as is, now I've got to find another frame to use with my carbine.
