I looked for an answer to this yesterday. The only thing I found was a report on shotgunworld.com that the receivers were made by Marocchi (reportedly verified by a call to Marocchi) and are 'possibly' the same or similar to the ones made by them for the Winchester Model 1001 O/U in 1993.
IOW, I don't know much.
