My dealer, who carries CD along with Kimber, Springfield, & Colt advised me that there seems to be a problem with the CD SS models - all of them. I'm not sure what it is, I'm assuming metalurgical, but apparently they are not shipping or available at this time.

Rumor?? Who knows....
 
kevinch: Galling???

Some have told me that SS is prone to galling and needs more TLC. Is that what you are writing about?

I handled and inspected (sort of) a new (just delivered) CD in SS two weeks ago. Other than some light burrs, I didn't see anything wrong with it. But I don't know for a fact that it was the latest issue (Enhanced FS) since the photos at the CD site just came out on the 15/16th.

We'll know as time charges on, right?
