1.Why can't KBI provide manuals with the guns they ship? I just got a DDA (fuschia!)and this is the third gun i have got that was imported by KBI and came with no manual! I don't like it.
2.I was under the impression (reading here at TFL) that Charles Daly guns had a lifetime warranty. Not true!-its one year,at least for my DDA.
Its sweet looking, has a nice trigger and sights.I just hope its a great shooter.Ten rounds of .45acp in an ergonomic compact package;what more could anyone want?

Charles Daly used to have a one year warranty, but that changed to a Limited Lifetime Warranty around September of 2001.

Hey, I got one of those Fuscia DDA's. It's my carry gun that alternates with my USP. It's a fun little gun and it's pretty accurate. The sights could be improved though but it's a real conversation piece.

Whatever you do...DON'T MESS WITH IT IF IT HAS PROBLEMS!!!!! I can't tell you how pissed off I was when my new full size DDA 10-45's slide kept locking open...my buddy told me it was the slide stop spring and that if I tweaked it a bit it should be fine. After a slight tweak...it would go through about 3 mags and then lock open again...better but still not good enough for me...so off to KBI it went...and I get my DDA back about 5 weeks later with a note that says my "lifetime warranty" is now void...that "after-market" parts were put in the gun...they said they fixed it as a courtesy anyway...it STILL locks open! and now I can't do anything about it! my fault for trying to fix it myself...no after-market parts were used...I called them and told them...2 months later I still have not heard one word from them (KBI) even after e-mailing the owner several times...too bad...it's a great shooter when it feeds the rounds...but I don't feel like I could depend my life on it,
Tony.

Hmmm... your slide locked open? Mine is starting to do the same thing but I thought it might be my reload. I'll have to try some factory ammo again and see if it still happens. It's quite annoying having to drop the slide after every single shot.

Stratfordholdings, you wouldn't want to give a fellow TFLr a good deal on one or two of those dda mags you got dirt cheap. I only ask because Pointblank2k and I are going to do a gun swap and I will need at least one more mag.
:D Mark

Sure.. I have no problem selling you some of the mags. I'll charge you what I paid for them. $4 a piece plus shipping.

I actually through one of them away because it wasn't feeding right. Figured it was the mag since the factory mag didn't have any problems. Hey, it was only $4 so I didn't care. If I paid $20 for it, I woulda been a little pissed.
