Charles Daley 1911

I was at a local gunshop today and saw a Charles Daley 1911. It was a pretty good price for the features it had. I'm wondering if it is too good to be true? Does anybody have one and how is it?

I shot one sometime last spring. The specimen was a real piece of garbage. It jammed several times, and the slide failed to lock back after the last shot.

Spend the extra few dollars on either a Springfield or Kimber if you want a 1911 .45 ACP.

The CDs to look for have what appears to be a "melt down" job done on them. All edges have been rounded & they seem to be the pick of the crop.
The firing pin stop plates are a bit of a worry on some but $10 & some fitting will fix it quickly.
Best prices are around the$319 - $349 mark. :)

I bought mine about 3 months ago.I had to adjust the extractor on mine because it didnt have enough tension. After I did that it has worked like a charm.I have shot about 500 rnds so far.I paid 340.00 for mine.It came with 2 mecgar clips.I really like it alot.Just because it doesnt have one of the "Big Names" dont pass it up.E-mail me if you have any other questions.Oh yea,I have the 4" barrel with full grip.8rnd mags.I dont know if they make a smaller model but I heard they did.Any one out there know?

I had a Daly. Note the past tense there. Failed to go into battery on every freakin' shot, and no one could get it to work.
