I think I must have missed a meeting or my copy of the "Let's all change our names" memo was lost in routing. Yes, I did see the thread regarding the suggestion that members were "hiding" behind aliases and the subsequent responses. Since then there have been at least five threads I know of regarding user names and changes. (Now I've started another one.:eek I am not criticizing those that have changed their names to this point. However there currently seems to be much ado about nothing regarding user names.
Members are known to one another by their chosen user name. We read their comments, thoughts, opinions, et. al. and (hopfully) learn from them. The validity of their contribution to the forum is in the content of their post, not the name they choose to use. Personaly, provided it is in good taste, I could not possibly care less what name one chooses to use to identify themselves as long as they have something of value to contribute to the board. The changes serve only to keep others guessing whom is making the post and create an unnecessary pain for the staff. I'm Gunslinger. I've been Gunslinger since joining January 9, 1999. Everyone here knows who Gunslinger is. If I were to post under my real name now no one would know it was me making the post. May we please get past concerning ourselves with who is calling themselves what and all the name changes and get back to discussing firearms and the RKBA and maybe have little fun along the way.
Gunslingers rant for the day.

We live in a time in which attitudes and deeds once respected as courageous and honorable are now scorned as being antiquated and subversive.
