Changing S&W grips?

I have a new set of curved backstrap grip on the way from Smith for my 1076. How do you change them out? I hope instructions will be included with the grips but you never know.

I assume you punch out the pin at the bottom rear of the grip but last time I assumed something about pistol stripping I really pooched it.

You are correct. You drive out the pin, remove the old grips, and replace. Once you get the old grips off, it will be easy to see how the put the new grips on. There is a little pocket in the grip where you seat the stirrup and mainspring plunger, and that is the only thing that you might find even a little tricky.
