Changing out Ruger MKII Trigger HELP!

I'm not sure if the trigger pivot pin is so fitted, but some of the pins in the MkII have a "cannelure" around one end of the pin, into which fits a wire spring. Easier to lift the spring away from the pin and then push the pin out. Smacking it hard also works, but can damage the spring.

The older guns used an inside "E" ring to retain the trigger pin. More than one frame was ruined by using a bigger hammer.
