Changing grips on GP-100

I recently acquired a GP-100 and want to change grips to a set of Hogue Monogrips. I unscrewed the one grip screw, but cannot get the grips off. Is there some trick I need to know?
 
Remove the screw, pop off the wood panels. You'll see a large aluminum pin, push this out and the grip will slide right off. Sometimes the pin pushes out with no effort, some guns have to be almost beat out of there. If it doesn't want to move you can still pry the rubber up and over it and get the grip off.
You won't need this pin with the Hogues so don't worry too much about damaging it (unless of course you decide to switch back to the factory ones!)
