Changing "Areas" in IPSC

Kind of a small, stupid question really, but....

In IPSC, you have the different "Areas" (1, 2, 3, ...). If I'm in Area 8, and decide to shoot a couple matches farther north, how does being from a different "area" affect me?

Blanket party? Nuggies? Free chips at local reservations?

Well unless you plan on winning a sectional championship it don't affect you one bit, just lie and tell 'em you're from the south to irk them. Have you joined USPSA or something scary like that?

So you've decided not to point the gun at the RO's feet? Good deal. Areas are kind of administrative zones, the clubs belong to a section, the sections make up the areas. Doesn't matter where you shoot," generally" you're not eligible for section/state championship awards if you're not part of the section/state. DVC Nick Jones A14838

Sorry Weshoot. If it were a little closer to Virginia, or if I were a little better (to justify the drive), I'd be there.

Nick, low blow. You weren't there.

AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER

I lived in Lynchburg, Virginia Beach, Arlington (don't ask or I'll have to kill you), Appomattox, and Norfolk.
Where you at and what's your nearest USPSA club?????

I'm so bad I don't mind the drive..........

I'm nearest to Black Creek. You can find them on the web under "Black Creek Shooters". It's an IDPA site, but directions are there. IPSC is the last Saturday of every month.

Nice guys there, and I have Navyjoe and vetts1911 to thank for pushing me into trying it out down there. A couple of the better shooters have sort of taken me under their wing, so to speak, and have lots of great advice to offer. Very laid back crowd, and it's more of a great BS session than anything. They love to see new shooters like myself.

Cheap - $15-$20 a match, and it runs an average of 100 shots.
