Changing a firing pin spring on a Taurus PT945

It's been awhile since I've made a post, but have been keeping up on all this excellent information.

I've recently purchased some Wolff recoil springs for my PT945 and they came packaged with a firing pin spring as well. I've attempted to change the firing pin spring but can not remove the firing pin block. I'm sure there is a simple trick to it, but can't figure it out. Does anyone know how to replace the firing pin spring on this Taurus model?? And should the original spring be replaced when you replace the recoil spring?? I have fired it with the new recoil spring and the original firing pin spring with no noticeable problems.

I guess a good question would be when should a firing pin spring be replaced??

Thanks in advance for any help or assistance.

George,

I'm not sure what it's a copy of other than being Taurus' version of a full-size .45ACP.

I'm sending you an email with a breakdown of the pistol and a parts list. Maybe this will help, maybe not. But thanks for your assistance.
