Chambering Problems with Sears Ted Williams model 75 20 Gauge

My grandfather just handed down a Ted williams model 75 20 gauge shotgun to me about a year ago. I have shot the gun and I am having some chambering issues. It seems as if the action doesn't have enough force to push forward hard enough. The round ejects but a new round in the tube Doesnt feed up. It also looks like the rear of the ejector is slanted inward towards the inside of the chamber. Should there be a spring there or what. I've tried everywhere looking for information on this thing and idk whats going on with it. Please Help!
