Chamber Polishing

I've read that many people that compete in CAS polish the chambers of their guns to make reloading quicker.
I shot my new Ruger .357 Blackhawk on Friday. The chambers appeared to be "tight" since it had to pull the spent cases out. In only one chamber did the case fell out with just the use of the ejecter rod.
How do you polish the chamber in a firearm?

Thanks

Howdy,

Brownells sells honing brushes and oil made just for revolver chambers. I've neard of folks using brake hones and even sandpaper wrapped around a dowel, but usin a tool specially designed for the job is a better choice.

I think most times folks mention polishing chambers they are talking about their side x side shotguns. Smoother chambers makes it easier to "chuck" shot shell. Their are some pistol reloading stages. But most times folks are talking about polishing their shotgun chambers. My two centavos.
